Micro Scooters School Initiative Scheme
Micro Scooters Limited supported almost 200 schools with the 2011 Winter Initiative, our busiest year ever!! Donating over £11,000 to School PTA’s and Associations across England, Scotland and Wales.

If your school hosts a Micro Scooters Stall at a winter fair, we will make a 10% donation to the school from everything you sell on our behalf* (*Please note: to receive a donation total sales must exceed £200)
The school will get a Mini Micro Scooter, Maxi Micro Scooter, EzyRoller**, and a Mini Bag free of charge. These are used as demonstration models for the stall and then raffled off as prizes. (**Please note if your school takes over £300 we are happy to donate the EzyRoller as a raffle prize. If you take under £300, please sell the demo model for £50 or send it back to us at your own cost)
Orders are collated by your school PTA or school association. Orders are taken by cheque or credit card and passed to us. Once the orders have been processed we will send the goods to the school for re-distribution.
Details of the 2012 winter scheme are to be confirmed.
The initiative is run from October through to December please contact us in September with details of your school and when your event is taking place.

“It works really well for us. We used the donated scooters for raffle prizes. Usually one in the winter and one in the summer and it's always great to see the scooter in a raffle and so are able to raise more funds that way.
Parents also seem happy to purchase through the school and, even though the price isn't discounted for them, they like the fact that the school gets a donation.

"I thought I would just give you a quick update on our scooter training so far this year.
We have carried out scooter training at 10 schools over the summer. As a pilot, we have also carried out a training session in a pre-school setting, with other early years teachers watching the training. This will be developed further into a full scooter training package for early years settings across the city.
We also did a drop in scooter training afternoon at a local festival in the city – children booked into sessions on the day. All of this training has involved the use of the micro scooters you very kindly donated to us – many thanks again! They are in constant use!"

"Our primary school set up a Sponsored Wheelie in June 2010 where the children either scooted, cycled or skated around a circular route in the local park whilst raising money for the school. We were delighted to get sponsorship from Micro Scooters as it helped us reinforce the active, healthy lifestyle we were trying to promote by running the event. In addition, working with such a well known brand as Micro Scooters, whose products pepper the school run streets, helped us to gain additional interest and effort from the children, the most successful of whom won prizes donated by the company for all their hard work. The event worked so well for both the children, who were exhilarated and gained a real sense of achievement with their friends and class mates and the parents who had tired but well exercised children to take home for the rest of the weekend.
We received so many compliments about the event that we have decided to run it again in 2011. MicroScooters have generously offered to support our event once more."
